This historic castle, which is offered on an exclusive basis, really is a fantastic location for wedding receptions, set, as it is, in 156 acres of outstanding natural beauty; it has a beautiful 2 acre “historically important” walled garden which dates back to 1616 (where we often hold wedding services), magnificent lawns a private Loch and its own 9-hole golf course. Photographer's call it their dream wedding venue and that's why you are guaranteed an excellent album or DVD to look back upon and remember your special day. So if you’re planning on getting married in Scotland look no further!

As an alternative to a wedding ceremony in the walled garden, we have our own delightful chapel for smaller weddings or for larger parties we make use of Guthrie Village Church which is only a few minutes walk from the castle.

Our function “Pavilion”, built specifically for entertaining, can sit 300 for a dinner dance, but can also be configured to provide intimate dinning for smaller groups of say 150 or even just 50, whilst parties of up to 30 can dine in the splendour of the castle's private dinning room - so what ever the size of your wedding party we are sure to be able to set up the ideal atmosphere for your wedding reception.

Up to 12 guests can be accommodated within the castle whilst a further 18 can stay in the various cottages around the estate.

We provide only the highest levels of services and comfort; we want you to feel very much at home within the beautiful surroundings ensuring that your special day will be happily remembered for the rest of your lives. We have built our excellent reputation through a flexible and enthusiastic approach to planning and arranging bespoke weddings as per our couples wishes, and guests always comment on how friendly and helpful they find our staff.

Whether you are planning a traditional religious ceremony, a civil wedding / commitment ceremony, or an increasingly popular Handfasting ceremony you will find it difficult to find a more romantic setting. We are also earning an enviable reputation as an ideal venue for Celtic weddings, Asian weddings and even themed weddings.

Whilst our busiest months tend to be May - August, we are increasingly busy during other months too, due in some instances to our attractive discounts for "out of season" bookings - an especially popular month is December when the castle is decorated throughout ready for Christmas.
